The main characters in this book Natasha Dawson and Tony and Luke Stevens lives intertwined in a love triangle. Tony has a health problem that he won’t come to grips with and Natasha loves him. How it ends will surprise many readers. Some of my favorite lines from the story. “Self deception was a powerful weapon and a notoriously difficult enemy to overcome. How did the saying go? There are none so blind as those that will not see…” When Natasha approaches Tony about his problem. He tells her to leave. Pack her belongings and get out. Once Luke thinks that Tony is out of the picture, it doesn’t take him long to move in to take his place. Natasha work’s for Luke at a fashion magazine as the photographer. Being the voracious reader that I am, I did enjoy this story. I rated it a solid 5 stars. I would enjoy reading more works by Elsa Joseph. Another line that I liked “Natasha realized that her skill lay in taking risks and making the most of opportunities when they presented themselves to her. It was essentially gambling, but gambling backed up by a belief in her own ability and a strong sense of intuition that told her exactly what to do. Will Natasha jeopardize her future by paying the price for love? Find out by reading this excellent story.

An interesting read. It follows Natasha, a woman struggling to understand this notion of love. Her struggles leave her confused and because of her confusion, she complicates her near perfect life and her current relationship to help an ex.

The writing is professional, the plot and subplots are developed, and the characters are interesting. I particularly liked the many twists. Just when you thought the characters and their intentions are clear as day, the story takes a turn and introduces new thoughts for the reader to chew on.
A few hours to escape and enjoy this rather moving book about love and love’s folly, love’s tenacity, its blindness and some would say, stupidity. Natasha is the luckless victim who is besotted with her Prince Charming, an athlete, a successful author, and all round golden boy. She herself is not without appeal and fans abound but Natasha has eyes only for her Tony. However Tony hides a secret, which secret begins to slowly unravel the perfect façade he tries to keep intact. There is pathos in this tale of the never-obvious mental decay, yet it never became maudlin, and one is both frustrated with, and admiring of the tenacity which the too-gullible Natasha shows time and again as she tries in vain to rescue her lover from his steady and unflinching self-destruction. I think a lot of women will identify with her infatuation, and the hope is always there that she will eventually win through, and then you hope she won’t. That made for page-turning.
Natasha tries every avenue. The characters are believable – despicable at times but real and believable – and Natasha’s painfully slow personal growth was apparent as I read on. She starts out as a too fabulous, all round winner, not very believable, but as she gets more and more immersed in the secret, her character develops and gives the book substance. It is chick lit, but offers some depth and understanding about a disorder we know not enough about.
First I want to say that I think this was a pretty good story. At first it seemed like the character of Tony was just one-dimensional and annoying, but then Natasha discovers a secret about him that makes everything fall into place. I must say that I don't recall ever reading a story where there was a male suffering from the same condition, so there are major points awarded for originality there.

Second the author's voice is pretty strong and vivid, but sometimes things get cut short when they should be allowed to grow. For example, there is a flashback scene where Natasha meets her other beau Tony for the first time. What's written is, "The rest of the evening passed in a blur of witty conversation." Well, I would rather hear the conversation than be told it was witty.

Third, I want to praise the author for something that another review was critical of there is far more description and prose in this book than in many other novels I have read lately. (That might sound like odd praise, since in the previous paragraph I mentioned how I wanted MORE dialogue, but it was just for that scene in particular.) I have seen far too many books where you have page after page of dialogue. In my opinion, the author might as well have written a screenplay. No, sir, a novel should be more about inner monologues, giving us the glimpse of what goes on in each character's head, because that is what a movie CANNOT do.

Now for some of the downfalls there are occasions where the author can use an excessive amount of adjectives. Some of the paragraphs get incredibly long and could have been broken up. In certain spots the author repeats themselves, like when Natasha goes into great detail more than once about how handsome Tony is. Last but not least, there are some minor grammar glitches that one more edit would have picked up. (Example the double negative of the excerpt "...couldn't stand her isolation no longer."

Other than that, this was a decent debut from a new author.
